The ChiLat program, established in 1997, focuses on the US population with origins in the countries of Mexico, Latin America, and or South America. Selecting courses in the humanities, and social sciences taught by affiliated faculty in many disciplines, students explore the culture, society, and economy of this important and growing segment of our national population. This year is an exciting year for us. We have scheduled engaging and informative courses that invite Stanford undergraduates to participate in ongoing national conversations about race, ethnicity, gender, language, and immigration.
